The Montgomery County Commission for Women and the Family Law Section, Montgomery County Bar Association will present Separation and Divorce: What I Need to Know. The monthly sessions will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month through June 2021.
A local family law attorney will lead each session discussing legal details about separation and divorce in Maryland. Session topics will cover methods of dispute resolution; when and where to file; types of divorce and grounds; financial statements; alimony; property and equitable distribution; role of the attorney; and domestic violence/orders of protection.
The first seminar begins this Wednesday, Oct. 7. The session will also include a discussion on co-parenting during the pandemic with a focus on custody.
These free events will be presented on Zoom. Although, the seminars are free, registration is necessary. The link will be forwarded after registration.
